Redemption Bay Area, previously known as Jubilee Christian Center, is history in the making. Three years ago as Pastor Ron Carpenter was invited to speak at a conference at Jubilee he felt a tug in his heart for the city of San Jose, California. After hearing from God about re-purposing his position in ministry, Pastor Dick Bernal had multiple conversations with Pastor Ron about being his successor. Taking a leap of faith and knowing he would have to leave the church he built in South Carolina after 27 years, the torch was passed.

The vision was not to try to duplicate Jubilee but to bring the success and anointing of Redemption Church to the bay area. Pastors Ron and Hope Carpenter celebrate Jubilee and the 37 years of a ministry legacy that was built by Pastor Dick and Carla Bernal that will forever be in the heart of San Jose, California.

Pastor Ron and Hope Carpenter’s heart through this transition is focused on the kingdom. With the history of Jubilee and the future of Redemption they pray that hearts will be open to a new way to do church. God has honored Pastor Ron’s kingdom building spirit by planting him in the heart of Silicon Valley and used Pastor Dick as a vehicle to bless Pastor Ron in this incredible way.
